HCRW FUNDRAISER $75
Grand Old Party Scholarship Fundraiser HCRW is excited to share that we're hosting a fundraiser to establish the High Country Republican Women's Scholarship. We will award two $500 scholarships for seniors graduating in 2025 - one at Tuscola High Shcool and one at Pisgah High School. The Fundraiser will be held at Bocelli's in Waynesville on Monday September 9th beginning with a cocktail hour at 5PM. A $75 donation covers the cost of dinner. Alcoholic beverages are not included in the ticket price but will be available for purchase at the event. We have two confirmed speakers, Zach Almond from Dan Bishop's campaign and Judge Jeff Carpenter. |

POPCORN & POLITICS
HCRW will be showing Hillbilly Elegy : A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis. Based on VP Candidate J.D. Vance's bestselling book, Hillbilly Elegy was made into a film by Oscar winner Ron Howard and stars Amy Adams, Glenn Close, and Gabriel Basso. Arrive at 6:00 PM if you'd like to order food from the VFW Grill. The movie will begin at 6:30 after a short meeting. Popcorn will be available for a small donation. |

We will have business meetings on the 4th Thursday of the month at the VFW Post 5202 at 216 Miller Street in Waynesville, NC unless indicated otherwise below. You do not have to be a member to attend an event, but we'll have membership information available for you and would like to invite you to join. Women and men can be members - and both are invited to attend our meetings to find out more about HCRW.

NC Treasurer, Dale Folwell, speaks at HCGOP
January 16, 2023: Dale Folwell spoke at the HC GOP HQ. He reviewed his achievements as NC Treasurer in bringing efficiencies to state government, allowing legislators to lower taxes and build a rainy day fund.
He also discussed his battle with the healthcare cabal for healthcare services to increase the transparency and thereby reduce the cost of healthcare in NC. There were many members of HCRW in attendance and asking questions. There is much statewide speculation Treasurer Folwell may run for governor. "Exposing Crimes of Socialism"
